Juliet Nightingale began this site in 1999. She was ahead of her time, and though she left her body on 28 February, 2009, her work with this site and for all humanity is not yet complete.
Her message and gift to us all focused on dispelling of the illusion of death, and opening us to the marvels of our Soul being yet undiscovered. We are not our bodies, but rather unique starlights of Soul consciousness having a human experience. There is a life continuum that we are all apart of – life, death, rebirth – and over and over again life is constantly in a state of recreating itself. That includes us!
As Juliet was preparing to leave her body, we spoke openly about how her Soul was outgrowing the confines of her body and needed to leave it and the limitations of this Earthly plane so she could be of greater service to humankind at this most auspicious time in our evolution here on planet Earth. She was very clear that she was moving into prevention and that she was going to help us to make better decisions, those of us who are able to tune in and listen to the great offerings of Spirit.
She and I had developed a very strong telepathic communion/connection over the many years that we shared our Earthwalk. I had no idea how valuable that would be when the moment came that I witnessed her take her last breath. Our very deep communion of Soul has never been interrupted, though, her body did grow cold and I scattered the ashes at the seaside…since then it has been an odyssey of intimate personal transformation that I am just now becoming able to express in words.
Juliet was right. We do not die. Our bodies deteriorate immediately once our Spirit/Soul/Consciousness has left. There is a unique signature of Soul that can be recognised as such from our perspective here on planet Earth after one transcends the body. The path to this signature recognition is in the heart. Follow the Love. Where the Love is the deepest the Truth is revealed and it is there, in our hearts, we can recognise this unique Being in Spirit with whom we did know in an Earth life form as well. It is from this understanding that I have seen that these Beings who have left their bodies not only live on in our hearts and memories, but they are also likely to be in the same room in their Spirit expression, whatever that may be. It’s exactly like so many Near Death Experiencers have shared when they leave their body and try to communicate with a loved one and most often report that their attempts were in vain. Between Juliet and I, these attempts are not in vain. She and I carry on full conversations, though it is not at all like it was before. The more I have let her go, and continue to let her go, as I once knew her, the more enriched our new relationship is becoming. This, I believe, is available to all who put their mind, heart, and an earnest commitment to developing within themselves. It is part of the tool box that we haven’t yet learned how to use but it is there waiting for us anytime we are ready.
I can see a new chapter for Toward The Light.org as we, as a collective Humanity, become much more comfortable with ourselves as Soul based and move away from the fear/material based – I am my body – reality paradigm that we are shedding now.
For this it is clear to me at this time (I am forever changing and growing meself) that these interviews are perhaps even more valuable than they were before. In listening to these interviews, with an earnest, open heart and mind, one who is truly ready to open up to the world beyond and the world within will find themselves quite loved and enriched in the discovery offered in abundance herein.
I will leave this site as it is for the most part until further notice to let Juliet carry on the mission as only she knows how to do. I have only changed the verb tenses, but have left the writing, including all of the interviews themselves, entirely in her original script.

Nightingale was a facilitator, speaker, teacher, clairvoyant, medium, life coach, and Reiki practitioner who was available for public and private speaking engagements (as well as for the above-mentioned services). She also conducted seminars covering a wide range of topics. From England, her accent immediately draws people in. And although a bit shy and reserved, with her ‘tell-it-like-it-is’ style, Nightingale holds her audiences spellbound, then engages the audience in colourful dialogue.

Learning about near-death experience changes ideas. Ideas will change feelings. Changed feelings will change actions. Changed actions will demonstrate that personal spiritual transformation has taken place, and will affect other persons for spiritual transformation. I applaud the beginning of a regular radio program on NDE because it’s what the world needs now.
